GOLDA MEIR WAS 71 WHEN SHE BECAME PRIME MINISTER OF ISRAEL..........
BENJAMIN FRANKLIN BECAME BECAME A NEWSPAPER COLUMNIST AT THE AGE OF 16-AND A FRAMER OF THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION WHEN HE WAS 81.........
A WOMAN I KNOW NAMED RACHEL PLANNED TO BE A CONCERT PIANIST, CHANGED HER GOALS SUDDENLY BECAUSE SHE LOVED TO COOK, AND BAKED BROWNIES FOR FRIENDS. HER BUSINESS NOW GROSSES SEVEN MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR. SHE DIDNT THINK SHE WAS TOO YOUNG OR TOO OLD.........
LASTLY JACK KNIGHT AFTER WRITING SONGS FOR WELL OVER 15 YEARS...GOT HIS FIRST NUMBER ONE RECORD AT 34 YEARS OLD.....IS THERE AN AGE FOR SUCCESS???

If I was thinking about my age, I guess I could not be on this academy, nor trying to work hard on my music. Everybody has a path in life and it's unique for each and every one of us. We have to follow our hearts and souls and listen to the voices within because if we do we all know what is right for us. Thats what I do and I know a lot of people around me wonder where I get the strenghth and courage from. I take life as it comes while listening and embracing gifts from nature and from the universe.

Are we not successful when we achieve our aims? We are successful so many times in our life without recognizing it because we are just looking for the big things and forgetting about all the small. Success knows no age limit, no heritage, skin colour or religion it just knows the hard work, passion, the persistence and the endless believe we need to achieve what we want to achieve. As older you get as more life experience and knowledge you have, as more fearless you go your road through life and is it not an advantage on the way to success? There is just a dream waiting for it realization. Every little success in my life let me grow a little bit more, gave me more power, gave me self confidence to give not up to believe that I can achieve everything, every time when I just work hard enough for it. I believe from the bottom of my heart, there is no age limit, just a challenge waiting for you that you are up to it.

like the other cat said,when its your time ,its your time.... the only thing is the industry may look past an artist because of there age..BUT....if u kill em with a hit...it cant be denied.

I know it may not look like it, but I'm approaching the BIG 3 0. (lol...I'm 26) It gets discouraging when you don't get a deal in this Industry or haven't found your big break yet because your peers, colleagues, significant other, and some family members may look at you like a loser for chasing such a 'trivial' dream. "When will you get a 'Real Job'?" "What if it doesn't work out?" etc. are just some of the things people may say.
I feel strongly about my musical aspirations and have a clear vision as to what I want to get from all of this. So I surround myself with people who believe in that same vision. Building a support system is essential to survival.
The Industry may say 30 is the cutoff age for most, but like JustDani said, you're successful when you achieve your aim (goals). Success isn't always of monetary value $$$

Personally i look at it like this from the moment of each our individual conceptiond we are all successes because we are the beginning stage of development. When we are born we are all successful once again by officially entering the world when any number of circumstances could prevent that from happening. Finally we are all successes because from our starting point in the womb until our finishing point in the grave we are constantly growing and developing into better human beings and everyday that we can say we have awoken to and every night we have closed our eyes to we should count that as a significant achievement in itself.
my definition success = not simply accomplishing a series of goals in your life but actually accomplishing one goal living your life simply living it.

"This community group is geared towards any who so desires to learn about the music Industry regardless of age or race. God doesn't put a limit to his offerings of talents regardless of age or color.
I dont know everything which is why I choose the motto "Each One That Teach One" because we all can learn something from each other. Those who can contribute towards giving knowledge freely are free to do so.
Look at some of the older contestants such Sherman Pore, age 65 or Taylor Hicks age 29 who manage to get on American Idol. Taylor won a recording contract, Pore has released an album called For My Lady Love.
Or some of the other shows like Britain's Got Talent where Susan Boyle won and wind up becoming success stories. Dont let anyone destroy your goals and dreams.
God has blessed many of us with various talents which he puts no age limits on
