They Dont...... H. WILL
This is the life motto of the developing business leader
and music mogul, Harold Williams Jr. Known throughout studios
as “H.Will” or simply “H,” Harold began his journey in Wayne,
NJ at Passaic County Technical High School. There while
studying business this Paterson, NJ native played in each one of
the bands learning 3 instruments and publishing his first work in
the book Footprints Through The Forest: The international Library of
Poetry. His drive, talent and overall knowledge of the business
caught the eye of older cousin Davel “Bo” McKenzie, whom at
the time was a producer under award winning producer Teddy
Riley. Harold spent his school vacations traveling to Virginia to
work and learn.
After high school he made the decision to attend Old
Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. His love for music and
business drove him to wear many hats while gaining his
Communications degree. At ODU he worked on campus as
Audio/Video tech, the sound engineer for the basketball team, a
DJ on and off campus all while spending his nights as an
apprentice of Davel McKenzie, who by this time had set up his
own production company Unique Productions inc. By graduation
Harold had become a more polished songwriter/ engineer
working with artist such as Coko of SWV, Chauncey Black of
Blackstreet and many local unsigned artists. On campus, he had
also coordinated a host of events and concerts including ODU
NAACP Awards in 2003 where Hip Hop mogul Russell Simmons
was honored.
Today “H” is looking to reach that next level. By day
working as floor manager for Verizon Wireless, by night he is the
manager and A&R of Unique Productions. Harold is currently
studying at Full Sail University to achieve a Masters in
Entertainment Business and Internet Marketing. Who knows
what the next level will be for this young man, but he is certainly
not worried. “Making the most of what you have is what prepares
you for what’s to come”
