Hey Everyone im starting
I am a late blooming producer, trying to learn my way around songwriting for my future. The only problem i have right now is...I'm a Active Soldier in the Army. So you know i don't have much time to work on my music nor can i find artist. So i think my best bet is to rely on the net lol. I know my songs suck right now because im there i say it again beginning to write.
I always felt very strong about music since elementary,but i didn't know how to express it. I began band since elementary searching my instrument I learned to play trumpet,french horn,alto sax,and a little piano(still learning). SO time to time I'll post what I'm doing. hopefully i can gain some nice friends who can give pointers. Not everyone can sit down with Diddy,Timberland,or Dr.Dre to learn how to make love to a song so I try the best way I can. May positivity be with you. :)

Syllabus said… - Sorry bout the late reply:
For Pro Tools:
1. you want to keep the incoming signal at about 3/4's the way up.
2. Use a Master Fader to control all your individual tracks.
3. Hard pan your background vocals (record them 2x2...no copy and pasting!)
4. Use Maxim or a good Limiter on your master fader
5. Bounce final mix down
6. Re open final 2 track mix in a new session and apply some final Normalizing, compression, eq and limiting (right around 0 dBu)
7. Bounce that down as a 16 bit 44.1 kHz file...(CD's can't play anything above that sample ratio anyway)
