Legin is a 22 year old R&B Brooklyn native singer. When it comes to the art of music, nothing describes his passion more other than stating "Music is my first and only true love." And since the impressionable age of 3. So it has been.

While age 3 was his first encounter with music its safe to say that Legin was a bit of a late bloomer as an artist. He comes from a broad musical background, with his grandmother being a singer and having a singing contract with Apollo, his grandfather singing with groups like the Drifters and other well known groups from back in his day, and his mother being a casual singer herself. It really comes at no surprise that music became his passion.

"Even though I came from two generations of talented vocalist I didn't have the privilege of having anyone help cultivate my talent, so I pretty much had to discover music on my own. I didn't grow up with the understanding of how crazy of an artist Michael Jackson was or the Supremes or Marvin Gaye, Patti Labelle or any of the old school singers from that era. I just knew of the artist that were predominantly current at the time. Such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, Jodeci, and its from them I cultivated most of my initial musical inspiration."

Without having the knowledge of what the generation before him established and created musically, Legin believes that in a way it stagnated his growth as an musician, but in the long run turned out to be something that helped mold him into the artist he strives to be. An artist that wants to break free from the mold of what R&B artist have become today. An artist with no boundaries and no limitations. An artist that dares to stand out from the crowd and be his own creation.
