Majic said… Well, being from New Zealand, we are still about 20yrs behind the rest of the world, and quite secluded in a sense, but I would have to say Lauryn Hill, Faith Evans, India Arie, Alicia, Cheryl Pepsi Riley, I have been listening to a lot of roots/reggae artists from around the globe lately (Etana, Tarrus Riley) as it is a pathway, I would really love to explore, Roots Hop Reggae, as it incorporates, all of the music I really enjoy to listen to. And well Tu Pac, Biggie, and Bob Marley, were and still are HUGE influences here in NZ, a bit like the Black Panthers were to our Movements of Solidarity, self determination and sovereignty in the 70'80's.
