My Day Life

Ok. I'm a teacher. There's no hiding it any longer! I love teaching. It allows me the opportunity to give and to get. I get the chance to continue to develop my skills and craft, work with many interesting people, and help mold young minds into intelligent minds. I really enjoy the JKSWA because it helps me grow as a person, an artist, a mom, a friend, a teacher, a woman of God. This forum has brought so much sunshine into my day because it is a vehicle for my creativity, and all of you play a part. So thank you for being a part of my day life. Take a look at the video to see the outcomes of a novel we read in class. It's called Shabanu: Daughter of the Wind. If you get a chance to read it, you'll love it. It's a realistic fiction novel about a nomadic Muslim family living in the Cholistan Desert in Pakistan during modern times. Very realistic descriptions about adolescence, childbirth, death, love, traditional gender roles, religion and cultural norms, father-daugher relationships and liberty/freedom.
