This Crazy World

Where cigarettes are legal but they take your life
But weed is against the law and all it does is get you high
Where a judge can take away 20 years from an innocent man
But when the criminal confesses later all they can say is "Our Bad"
Where a man dreams for EVERYONE to be equal
But gets killed by the ones who only want to live with their people
Where 18 is too young to buy beer in this country
But old enough to kill a man that doesnt belong to this country
Where they dont want illegal immigrants in here
But will ask them to fix your car for a few beers
Where the lifers inmates have nothing to lose
But they mix them in with the ones doing a bid or 2
Where you can offer a homeless man a sandwich
But he curses you out because you don't have change
Where war is declared with the trigger finger
But when I was younger it was declared with the thumb
Where soldiers are risking their lives to help their country avoid defeat
But they come back home and can't wear shoes, Did they really avoid defeat?
Where the the millionaires and billionaires just keep getting richer
But instead of singing a check for the broke they rather sign a picture
Where a girl is old and smart enough to match mini-skirt, heels and thong
But when she gets called a hoe she thinks is wrong
Where you have to pay a doctor to see if something is wrong with you
But you can't afford to pay for the surgery so they say "The hell with you"
Where they can raise the train fare every 5months
But they cant even speak clearly enough to know what stop you on
Where they can sell you the treatmant
But can't give you the cure

When my day ends I enter a better world
Where no ones rich but no ones poor
Where "Paying it forward" is spreading like swine flue
Where gay people don't have to live in one area
Where drug dealers wont sell to pregnant women
Where cops don't beat up people in handcuffs
Where homeless people live in mansions
Where shootouts would stay on ice
Where a color is just a color
Where everyone can just sit down and understand that we will all die one day
Where people can stop worrying about tomorrow because its just a repeated yesterday
Where life is love and love is life and a smile is always in style =)
